FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What people ask before a takeover
01What exactly does "technical ownership transfer" mean?
It means that responsibility for everything on the technical side of a software product or solution area we define together — operation, maintenance, defects, security, development, adjacent projects, the technical services provided to your customers — passes to Serwizer. The product, the code and the intellectual property stay with you; responsibility and accountability pass to us.
02Who keeps the product and the source code?
You do. Everything we take over is your asset and is managed in your environments, according to your policies. We take over the responsibility; ownership stays with you.
03Which technologies do you work with?
We work technology-agnostic. We take over and operate the product with its existing language, platform and architecture. When you want modernization, we plan it together and run it without stopping the product.
04How is this different from the outsourcing or maintenance contracts we know?
What we offer you is responsibility for a product that runs and evolves. Every matter within scope — defects, outages, new requests, adjacent projects, your customers' demands — is planned and met under the same responsibility. As we do this, we shape scope, working model and service levels together with you.
05Can the takeover begin before our current supplier withdraws?
Yes, and that is the healthiest scenario. Knowledge transfer is far more complete while the supplier or key person is still available. We plan an overlapping transition period and work in parallel.
06Our documentation is incomplete or out of date. Will you still take over?
Yes. In the diagnosis stage we rebuild the knowledge from code, configuration, logs and system behavior. After the handover, we create the documentation and keep it alive.
07Can we work with you for maintenance and support only?
Yes. Many relationships begin with a maintenance and support takeover. Expanding the scope is always your decision and is done within the same arrangement.
08Can you work alongside our own team?
Yes. You can leave the area entirely to us, ask us to work alongside your own team, or prefer that certain components stay with you. We define the working model together and build the handover plan on it.
09How do you set service levels?
Together with you. We design response and resolution targets according to the product's criticality, hours of use and your industry's requirements.
10How does pricing work?
We have a flexible model. We set up a working arrangement that takes shape together according to the scope of responsibility and the form of continuity; we discuss it openly in the first conversation.
11Our security and compliance requirements are very strict. Can you work with them?
Yes. We work in line with the standards of the defense, telecommunications and banking industries. Access, confidentiality and audit-trail discipline is the foundation of how we work; we add your organization's own policies on top.
12What if one day we want to take the product back or hand it to another team?
We keep everything we take over transferable at all times. Documentation is current, knowledge is in the system. The exit is planned as carefully as the takeover.
13Do you also take on support for the solutions we deliver to our customers?
Yes. We run customer-facing projects and support on your behalf or carry them together with you. Your customer continues to see you.
14What happens in the first conversation?
We listen to the product, the scope and your expectations. We describe concretely how the takeover would take shape for you and how we would proceed. The conversation is an introduction and a discovery session.
